Let’s talk about the money motive… the reason that you should be investing and positioning your business to be unique, excellent, and value-driven.

Tbh, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to grow your business. Seriously!

I believe there’s no shame or blame in profitability, because it is the very one thing that keeps your business alive and thriving for years to come.

There’s no shame in the money motive game

Here’s where we often get it wrong. We think that having money as a motive is a negative thing. And I could tell you that you couldn’t be more wrong. In fact, some of the best businesses that you admire and patron absolutely have a money motive. And so I want to encourage you today, whether or not your business is seeing highs or lows, it’s time to have a money motive.

Do what’s best for business

And that means it’s time to do what’s best for the business. Maybe, following function, data and structure, versus feelings, and what you think should happen. This is where profitability should always be the goal, and it should be your North Star as you work towards improvements in the business. This will allow you to be more consumer oriented, allow you to have maybe a better experience of your services, products, and offerings, and absolutely allow a win-win to happen, where the client who’s looking for you sees value in what you offer, and there is a true product market fit.

So can I ask you today- what’s your money motive? Is there anything that you need to do now in the business to get there in the future? I couldn’t recommend you do more. And honestly, I’d like to help encourage you and guide you as you consider this!

Let’s talk more about this, soon!
